The patch for that bug also re-coded setting of the window opener. But that patch seems to have broken use of the opener property. Reference to opener in a window targeted to _blank now causes the javascript error "undefined value". This _did_ work properly in Safari prior to the time when bug #10466 arose, but now thta #10466 is fixed, this has been broken. I'll try to come with a test case of some sort.
