My disk space filled up because /tmp accumulated large masses of the file WebKitPlugInStream* . Just go to the page and sit there for a while and you'll see that the files start accumulating quite rapidly. I'm not a Mac developer, but if this could happen to me, it could happen to the average user quite easily.
