Description Adam Williamson 2008-05-12 14:04:56 PDT
Several times in a row, trying to open www.hardocp.com caused WebKit (using both Midori and Epiphany with WebKit backend) to crash. Running the latest nightly, 33029 , with --enable-svg-experimental . I saved the crash report from Midori, I'll attach it. I suspect it's something to do with the new plugin support, as the page has a ton of Flash. One or two times it did actually open okay, but it crashed six or seven. It may well change by the time you read this report, as the issue is likely one or more of the ads on the page, which rotate constantly.

just to note - nothing useful on the console. Only error is:

console message: @1: Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://www.hardocp.com/ from frame with URL http://ads.hardocp.com/corsair/Corsair-32GB_468x60.swf. Domains, protocols and ports must match.

but I also got that on the run that didn't crash.

HardOCP has changed a lot since from past 2008 and also Webkit has evolved. Midori also changed to Electron / Chromium.

I am not able to find any hint in the crash logs and also Comment 02 mentions about SWF (Adobe Flash).

I think web is evolved a lot and we might not get much from this report. Only hint in Comment about "SVG experimental". I think Webkit SVG support has also improved a lot.

I am marking this as "RESOLVED WONTFIX". Please reopen, if you can find more from crash log and if we need to fix something.
