Description Stephen Dill 2007-04-16 21:43:50 PDT
Intermittent failure to recognize correct credentials at Login to First Horizon (Fidelity National Information Services, Inc). Also when logged in, selecting a sidebar or link to new information page, the user is kicked to time-out (login) screen. Standard Safari (Version 2.0.4 (419.3)) doesn't act this way. Also Safari will remember names and passwords for autofill.
The site recommends the usual:
A. Home Loan Online was tested using the following browsers:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0
Netscape Communicator 4.6 and 6.2
AOL 7.0

Note that form autofill not working in nightlies/locally built webkit is by design. See
http://trac.webkit.org/projects/webkit/wiki/Known%20incompatibilities%20between%20open-source%20WebKit%20and%20Safari
for more information on that.

Since it would generally be difficult/slow to arrange a test account with this site and you have a good grasp on it being broken in ToT but working in Safari 2.0, maybe you could spend time regressing the appearance of this problem using the nightlies, to narrow in which range of revisions this broke?

Thanks for the investigative work, Stephen!
It seems you first saw this broken in the 17902 nightly, but then later the 17902 nightly worked - but since this is an intermittent failure wouldn't we expect it to work sometimes and fail other times?

Lets say you try 17899 5 times and it works each time. Then you try 17902 5 times and it fails even once. Thats good evidence it broke somewhere in there.

Also, trying ToT once and it working doesn't mean "bug is invalid" - again, since its intermittent please try ToT a few times to make sure it's not broken.

Do the above - hammer on 17899, 17902, and ToT - then we can go from there!
