I experienced extremely high CPU usage when clicking on this link...  The browser did seem to recover, but this does not appear to be an unusal or malformed site.

I can't reproduce, is this 100% reproducible for you?  You say that WebKit hangs when you click on the link, can you only reproduce this by visiting the above URL from another page?

No problem here with Webkit r30123.
