I think this looks good.  We need bugs about some of the FIXMEs.  For example, I don't think we handle the switch from popup to list box.  I'll work on some test cases, and start filing.

I'm going to mark this as a "duplicate" of bug 9809 since a single patch is going to put in the fixes from here and fix that bug.
